Hi all,

I've been reading a lot about diamonds lately and I'm searching for a small but beautiful 0.4 carat one. My minmum requirements would've been color F, very good cut, and VS1. VS1 only because I am unable to look at the diamonds in person and I think it'd help not noticing imperfections?

Anyways, I've boiled it down to these 3 diamonds. Don't be shocked by their prices, I'm in the Netherlands and these are already way cheaper than what I found in-store. I'm not looking to import from the US/North America.

GIA 1283237071 (color E, VS1, very good, HCA of 1.8, EUR 1.273,25)
GIA 2286393917 (color F, VVS2, cut excellent, HCA of 2.4; EUR 1.310,72)
GIA 2287833900 (color D, VS1, very good, HCA of 1.1, EUR 1.332,59)

To me they all look okay, and I'd prefer either the 1st or 3rd. This is the setting: https://i.imgur.com/N01d9kq.png. Maybe I can lower some of my requirements? But what do you think? Pictures are not available at this moment.

You'd be a huge help.
Thanks already!

I can't get the GIA site to load the report checker page for me :(

Please may I ask if you can post all the angles/measurements?

e.g.:

Table size
crown angle
pavilion angle
etc.

:)

Hi,

my vendor just informed me that these diamonds are not available anymore. I don't really understand why they constantly list diamonds on their website, and they're still listed, even though they're not in stock anymore. Really annoying.

They've offered me this stone for EUR 1300 but I'm not a big fan of it at all. HCA of 3.8. I know that doesn't say much.

64 deep and 37 crown angle? That will be tall and narrow. Small diameter for its weight. Not optimal for light performance.

Is there a reason you don't want to import from the US?

Do you have high import taxes?

Here in the UK we must pay 20% VAT in imports, but the cut quality is much better in the 'super ideals', even if the colour/clarity/carat of stones can be very similar for a given amount of money!
