Sold 3.04 K, VS1 GIA OEC in Victor Canera Setting

I'm letting MK go to a new home. In the end, I'm a one ring kinda girl, and it makes me so sad that she's not being worn. She's too beautiful to be sitting inside a box, and she's been there since last September, when I started my MRB journey. Asking price is $39,750 for both the rings. I'm letting this setting go because it's been MK's home, and it is hard to get a Victor Canera setting without buying a stone from him. This ring is sized to a generous 4.5, but actually fits quite easily because the base is big and hollow.

I'm also selling the notched platinum millgrain band along with it, also made by Victor, also 4.5.

Here are some pics. I also love the progress pics Victor shared while making the setting. I saved the pic from when I first received her from OWD and I shoved the box in my purse and snuck it out for peeks on that first day. That stone floored me.

@Mreader, please don't ask me. LOL! I think it's the right thing for me. I'm fighting hoarding tendencies, and I do want to wear my pieces, not have them sitting in a safe. But if I think about what she meant to me, and @missy, it's hard. Not gonna lie. If someone loves her enough to take her, then I will know it was the right decision.

That's what is hard, to keep it in case I feel like wearing a solitaire. I'm so used to a 3 stone that I don't reach for the solitaire. It's hard for me to keep anything that isn't used. I really am not a collector.

I have always liked MRBs and I started with an MRB 9 years ago when I started upgrading. I just didn't end up finding an MRB I loved so I gave up. I discovered OECs after I came on PS and my diamond repertoire expanded. I found MK and fell in love. So I had MK for about 4 years. I went back to MRBs because I wanted to figure out if I could love an MRB and went the super ideal route. Honestly, I'm just fickle and get bored of stuff. I wore my MRB studs for 4 years straight and now I'm sick of them, and have been wearing my VCA sweet pave studs for about 2 years, and I still love them. So I guess my honeymoon period lasts about 4 years. And, I want to wear/use what I own. It really bothers me that it's not being enjoyed and appreciated.

Yeah...I made the decision. It's always hard at first I'm sure. Yeah...I think so. We'll see if anyone is interested. If it's meant to sell, it will. At least people can view her. If someone feels like she might be "the one", that would make me very happy too. And at least she's not in a dark little box.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a quick sale. You positive vibes definitely worked. Just fyi. Grace made the selling process so easy. If you are planning on consigning something, I would definitely consider her.

The band is still available, and I will create a separate listing for that later.

Phew. And an end to an era. I still love old cuts. If I get studs again, I think I am definitely doing OECs or super ideal antique cuts.

I can't believe she's gone...
