The milgrain was put in, as was the side scroll and added a peekaboo stone.

This looks thicker and more stable of a design in my opinion, could you ask the CAD designer to provide you with measurements of the different aspects?

I will if you feel it's necessary. I'm also having the wax sent to me to be sure my stone fits, and to make sure I like the feel/look of it all in person. Because I never seen the ring in person. Just got the pics online to go from. But Considering he had no measurements to work with at all.. I think it's turning out ok.

I think it looks great!

I agree with junebug -- it's gonna be a stunner!! Can't wait to see it completed!!!

I think they did a fantastic job! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks everyone! And here is my stone that will be in this setting

Joshua, Ilya told me that each square on the grid is 1×1. So if it takes up 2 squares it's 2mm

CADs were approved.. and a wax is being made and sent!! So excited! !

Stunning oec...it will look perfect in your setting! Do you mins staring specs of your OEC?

Cant wait to see this ring completed...I've always admired that setting!

I think it looks a lil less floral now, due to the Sapphires breaking up the flow .. it seems a bit more boxy now. Or is it just me?

I always felt it had a very "square cushion" feel.

But the original seems more rounded n floral effect right? I'm not sure how to fix this now. I didn't really notice til someone else said it to me. I thought it was just the color stones break g the flow. Ugh

Here's the original. Unfortunately, it's tilted n not a straight on view.

The original looks more floral due to the angle of the corners. In your CAD, the curve is centered so that the X and Y lines are exactly the same mm length. In the original, the curves are slightly off centered so that the vertical line is slightly longer than the horizontal line. I'm probably not making sense but that's the best I can do with words. ;(

Added pictures to better show what I mean.

I'll try and help, as I could word it either but I have drawings. And they are crude!

Look st yours vs the original. Yours the center of the three pave has the angle, or corner where the pave turns. In the original, the turn happened closer to the bezeled stones on the est and west sides, between the second and third stones - making it slightly more rectangular

Thank you both sooooo much! I see it now! The curves on the original aren't centered, like in my CADs! Does it look bad as is? Is it worth changing after I already approved it?

Its just different. No I don't think its bad. If you have a concern bring it up to them, but honestly its just a slightly different look. I'd you like that cushion look, no reason it has to be 100% like the original

I like both looks. But I liked the original Cuz the shape was a lil more unique than I've seen. I changed the stones and added the peekaboo to make it a bit more mine. I just don't want to be a pain in the @$$ to Ilya now :-\

Personal preference; one is a bit architectural (straighter lines) and the other is softer (slightly off centered lines).

Bring it up. Its your money.

Thanks everyone! I emailed him. It looked so close, but I couldn't figure out what was different. So I figured it was just the stone change that was messing with me. So I approved it. That's why I feel bad back peddling. But you're right, it's my $ and although I like both.. I really love the softer romantic feel of the original.

Good. You want to feel completely comfortable in the process or you'll end up with something you don't love.

BTW. I remember you said you also need a new wedding band, is that still true?

Yes, thats true. Figured I'd wait til I had this in hand to see if I should do a vintage eternity or have something made to fit it. What'd ya have in mind?

Not sure how close you want to get to the original design but the original shoulder "pieces" are slightly tucked under the "halo" whereas in your CAD, they are very distinct and separate. This could also contribute to the hard vs soft look.

I see. In mine, the sides come up to the sides of the bezel sapphires. See.. I didn't notice that either.

Here it looked pretty much the same
