Hi everyone,
I''m considering two diamonds from Fortunoff...
One is a 2.0 carat, F color, SI2, Total Depth = 62.7%, Table Width = 63%, Measurements 8.05 x 7.96 x 5.02, Fl = very slight blue, BUT EGL certified. I wanted a GIA cert diamond so after much haggling, Fortunoff is paying to have the diamond sent out to be certified by GIA. Do places usually send out a diamond to be re-certified? Does this sound like a good thing to do?
My other option is a GIA certified, 1.8 carat, I color, VS2, Cut grade = very good, Table = 62%, Depth = 62.1%, Measurements 7.76 x 7.80 x 4.83, FL = none
Lets just say for now that GIA comes back with no major discrepancies, then which sounds better? I don''t love the I color of the 1.8 but I also don''t love the SI2 of the 2.0 carat, but have to stay within a budget...
Thanks!
Kim
Thanks!
