I've just found this stone and would like to get peoples thoughts? This is a cushion brilliant and not a modified cushion so has the same faceting as the RB. I have a video but it was sent via WhatsApp so I can't upload it here as it won't accept the format.

GIA attached...

Can you post video to YouTube and put the link here?

Good idea! Here's a few links, not great videos though.

It seems like a pretty stone. There are many on here excellent at judging light return on cushions. Hopefully they chime in. They just helped me buy a 1.73 cushion brilliant and it’s gorgeous. They will help!!

Thank you! I hope someone can help, I know the videos aren't great but thats all they sent.

I like it. Maybe some leaky areas which I can forgive since it is slightly elongated.

Thanks everyone! :) How do you think it would compare to a RB?

in terms of what? in terms of price, the same ctw rb with the same level of performancee is generally more expensive. and, not an expert here so correct me if im wrong, rb generally has better light performance compared to other shapes and that's why they are the most sought after. there are generally more inventories for rb than cushion as well. just my two cents.

A 2 ct round will have a larger face up size and better light performance. Here’s an example.BA2D49DE-5218-45E1-9285-78C1AE28B625.png

As far as relative size, the cushion faces up fairly large. A RB will cost you more per carat weight but will usually have better light return (when well-cut).

The light return and performance of the stone would be the same if they both a brilliant and have a decent cut? Or would RB always be better?

Thanks for this! I thought the RB would face u larger too and I used this site this morning to discover that the difference is negligible which surprised me.

Oops, I see how I was wrong now. Sorry @act1980!

Can any cushion experts share their thoughts on this stone please? Thank you! :)
