Thanks Vesper! You know asschers though... never look as big as they weigh! I think they also "look" smaller for their carat weight because the nature of the stone draws your eye in and you focus on the culet area right in the center. When I blur my eyes it looks HUGE, but when I look straight on it seems less than 2.71. I am SO happy with it though!! Just love it!!

The center stone is not a 2.71ct, just total weight huh. I just tried on a 2.14ct and it was HUGE, it made the asscher look fake.

No, the center stone alone is 2.71. The baguettes are .33-.4 total. Sometimes the square emerald cut asschers can look more like emerald cuts and just look glassy, maybe that''s what you thought looked fake? I love emerald cuts, I think that look is gorgeous! Mine is more like an asscher though, because the symmetry and polish make really sharp angles and it sparkles like crazy!
