I haven't had the best luck when it comes to purple garnets, have purchased 2 and returned both in the past because they blacked out too frequently or were too contrasty etc. But 3rd times a charm right? 
My goodness I gasped when I opened the box! The color is majestic, absolute perfection and my favorite shade of purple! And it does flash red in incandescent light that is typical of this material which is super cool. I haven't seen it in sunlight yet as it's been dreadfully cloudy these past few days but with what I've seen so far she's definitely a keeper regardless.
This is the first time I've commissioned a stone from Jeff White and I highly recommend him, would love to purchase more in the future (funds permitting lol)!
