I just wanted to get an idea of how folks in the trade would price the following ring.
I'm partly curious to know, if I really got a good deal.... but at the same time, I want to have appropriate insurance coverage, if I had to replace it. The appraisal that I had performed by a local jeweler valued it at $23,000 (much higher than the purchase price), but I've heard that appraisals are often inflated.
