It looks beautiful! I think the setting height is just perfect - I can still see the culet at the bottom. No worries - enjoy!!

Hi Kmarla,

It is the Serenity/1514 setting, with a couple modifications. There is no donut and the shank is straight (rather than tapering in toward the center stone).

Thank you for all the kind comments!! I really, really appreciate them.

I am going to wait a bit and see if the height of the setting grows on me a bit. I don't want to mangle the ring trying to raise the diamond .25 mm. :eh:

The prongs on the melee seem to be a bit rough/catching on fabrics just on one side of the shank. Does anyone else have that issue? My old ER didn't do that nor does my wedding band. I am wondering if it is a cause for concern. I haven't looked at it under a loupe yet. Will try to find mine tonight.

Ooh I love that profile view! For me the height of the stone is just right. I like to see the culet but not a lot of empty space.
Enjoy that beauty!

Thank you all for the very nice comments. I am still on the fence about having the setting made a little bit higher. The ring feels just a tad low in my eyes. :???:

I think that it will also look nice, raised, but remember the taller the diamomd is set the more apt to be decapitated! :errrr:
