I went back and looked at them and wondered if maybe Whiteflash ACA could be an alternative to the CBI ones? Less contrastly look... as honestly it sounds like from above that you are not into that look.

Slightly below or above the ones at HPD, but better color (and clarity for one pair). Many PS-ers love ACAs. They are many things but most critically not so contrasty which may be a better fit to what you like?

And thanks again for your assurance. I do hope I will love my diamond. Just a bit worried what if I hate the high contrast look? But your assurance re color and eye cleaness really helped so thanks again.

@icy_jade yes! Those drizzle videos are exactly what I am talking about. Thanks for posting and hmmmm... this is making me think even more.

Here is the thing... you only see it when you compare stones exactly side by side or if you have a beloved stone that you have been staring at for years as a comparison. If I had no comparison, the CBI would be gorgeous. I think CBIs are in the top. They are truly beautiful if you like high contrast super ideals. I used to think my HOF were so pretty when I first got them. Then I saw those dark spots at times and I hated them. It’s just that I prioritize sparkle.

For me... no... if I don’t get the CBIs, I am done with super ideals. I think I am trying too hard to love super ideals and being on PS is contributing to that too! I should probably get off PS. If I don’t get the CBIs, I will stay with GIA ExExEx. The SA also said something that was a self-check to me. He said super ideals is a very very small market for a certain niche and there are other stones. The SA does not sell CBIs, he does sell very high end diamonds (colored gemstones too) and he said there are a lot of very beautiful and sparkly stones out there. He also referenced Tiffany, Harry Winston, Cartier and as we know, they are not always super ideal. It also made me wonder why the super ideal market has not grown and if it is because of the dark spot/high contrast.

Back to you as this thread is about you... I do think that since you want a super ideal, you will love CBI. The stone is white, the G is a great choice and it is eye clean. It’s perfect. I truly think you will be happy and love the stone. No yellow at all to me. Your stone is gorgeous.
