Huge thank you to Good Old Gold. David was a true gentleman and professional. We ran through every test possible on a handful of diamonds based upon my specific parameters and he was patient, and fun to work with. Also a big thank you to Stephanie. Also very professional and patient with me as I was very particular about the custom setting. 10 out of 10 stars for Good old gold.

My girlfriend said Yes on Friday! 100% surprised her and she was blown away with the diamond and the Ring. Again thank you to the forum for your knowledge.

So beautiful! You did such a great job!

Congrats on your engagement! Gorgeous ring. It looks fabulous on her. :appl:

That's gorgeous!

Everyone thank you so much for the kind words. Without pricescope I would have never been able to get there so thank you all again for your knowledge. I started this process knowing nothing but I really enjoying the learning and due diligence and this could become a new hobby...haha

Someone said flower pedals for the ring prongs and I wanted an almost organic look to it. So exactly that flower look. So nothing that looks like it has angles or is to bulky or metal. Something simple but with subtle design that looks like the diamond is being cupped by the flower and coming out of the shank and it was pulled off perfectly! It is based on a Monique Luillier ring.

She did say Yes! I proposed on Friday and 100% surprised her. I live in New York City and she lives in Pittsburgh (hence the engraving inside the shank). I flew out to Pittsburgh without her knowing Friday and coordinated with her friends to get her up to the Duquesne Incline. It's a historical train car that scales Mt. Washington and overlooks the city of PIttsburgh. We had our first date and I first kissed her on the train. She walked in with her friends and I popped out from a room inside the top terminal building. We have that all on video and her reaction is pure surprise, shock, happiness.. I took her hand and we went to our own train car and rode down the side of the mountain and I proposed on the train. I wanted to bring it all full circle. It was better than I imagined in my head.

Your engagement sounds adorable and the ring is classic yet unique. Hard to accomplish both simultaneously. Its very very beautiful!
