1 year itch

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I guess I'm looking for re-assurance. I have been married for one year and have had my ring for 2 years now. It is exactly what I wanted at the time but now I feel like I wouldn't mind changing it up to my former 2nd favorite (cushion/halo). Has anyone else felt like changing their ring so soon? I have told myself that I won't do anything until our 5th anniversary (just to make sure the cushion/halo style is a fad). The other funny thing is that I am super up-tight about $ so it is completely out of my character to care about something inadamit. What have you more experienced ladies done in this situation?
