I don’t know if it was having more time on my hands during the pandemic, but last year I started thinking about upgrading my ering with a little bit bigger diamond. I worried DH would be hurt, but he was totally supportive – as long as he didn’t have to shop.

With help from wonderful PSers, I got a 1.62 carat WF ACA in a Vatche U113 setting. I loved that ring. But less than a year after getting it, I saw Victor Canera’s Julia setting – and it made my heart beat fast. I was worried DH might think I’d lost my mind. I’d never been into jewelry, and here I was thinking about changing my engagement ring again. But he was totally supportive again.

I decided to go up in size just a bit, so I exchanged my stone for a WF 1.92 carat ACA. When I contacted Victor Canera, they explained that they don’t set their competitors’ diamonds. I understood but was sooo disappointed. Then they got back in touch and said they actually could set my stone -- maybe because it was an in-stock setting? I didn’t ask – too busy jumping up and down.

The upgrade process at WF couldn’t be smoother, and the folks at VC really took care of me. I am so grateful for all of the experts on this site, who are so generous with your time and knowledge!! I wish my photos could do the ring justice.

@swingtime - can I ask how was the Vatche U113 with the Tiffany Embrace combo? I saw in another post that you had that and I was looking at the same and potential 1mm spacer to avoid prong damage

@Nycpanda, sorry I just saw ur message. I changed jobs, and Pricescope has my old email. I absolutely loved the Vatche U113 with the Tiffany Embrace. I think it's such a classic, elegant look. I actually did not wear a spacer with it. The Embrace is set so low that it didn't look like the diamonds on the band would damage the ering. You may want to create a separate post with that specific question, though, to get feedback from the Pricescope experts. Best of luck with the process.
