First, thanks to all of you PriceScopers...I have been lurking on this forum for months learning everything I possibly could about diamonds! I pretty quickly fell in love with the cushion cut, and my boyfriend and I decided that was what we wanted for the engagement ring-to-be.
We ended up ordering two different cushions with the intention of (hopefully) keeping one and returning the other.
When we finally saw them- WOW...what a hard decision...we wanted to keep them both (obviously not an option)! We finally decided on one (which I will post with pictures when the bf lets me make it public
). However, I know how hard it was for me to take the leap of faith and order a cushion based on numbers alone...even with the return policy...so I took pictures of the stone we decided to return as well as of the GIA cert. If any of you are looking for a cushion and are on a budget, here are some pictures of a gorgeous stone that I believe is still available!
Specs:
GIA report number : 14910645
Cushion Brilliant
7.75 x 6.5 x 4.47 mm
1.54 carat
K color
VS1 clarity
Very good polish
Very good symmetry
No flourescence
Thin to thick faceted girdle
56% table
68.8 % depth
The stone has a slightly warm color, but combined with the antiquey facets, it really was stunning! We ordered it from Roni at BuyDiamondDirect.com, and it was just over $3,700. I have more pictures if anyone wants to see them!
I made a ring out of a paperclip and put the stone on my size 5.75 finger
