1.1 carat round avice!

It's a 60-60 diamond so you need to see if you like the look of it.

Does the very strong fluorescence impart any negative qualities on the diamond? Milky or hazy appearance. The hearts patterning is actually very well done though the arrows aren't which is a bit weird. It doesn't appear to be eye clean as there's some fairly noticeable black spots under the table. All in all it's not a bad stone but you might be able to find better.

For others who want to comment on the stone it's on enchanted with more info. https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R111-DUTYT7

Perfect example of why I would never recommend buying SI2 stones from vendors who don't show pictures (thanks for the link, solgen). Bad black inclusions in this one totally rule it out regardless of cut, in my opinion.

Ah - thanks for the input. This whole process is daunting.

Can you give any reccomendations above 1.05 carat on blue nile?

Thanks for your input!

What specifications are you looking for? In particular what color / carat are you looking at and what is your budget for the diamond itself?

Looking for the 1.1 carat level, min H color, SI2 min (but eye clean), and ideal cut. $5-$6k budget.

Looking to buy from blue nile as they have the setting I want.

Thanks!!!

when I clicked on the link it said that the diamond is "not currently available" and I was unable to "see" it.

Could you post the GIA # perhaps ?

I too am of the same opinion of diamondseeker2006 & am reiterating what she posted:

For me once I can see w/ my eyes not a loop where the diamond has the inclusion(s) that is the first place my eye goes to.

Hi Molinski44,
If you want to maximize size than sure go for it . . . it's not a stone i would personally choose.

for me, the table is too large
the crown angle is too small
and I would be concerned with inclusions

depth - 60 - 62% - although my personal preference is to allow up to 62.4%
table - 54- 57% (can go up to 58 )
crown angle - 34- 35 degrees
pavilion angle - 40.6- 41 degrees
girdle - avoid extremes, look for thin to slightly thick, thin to medium etc
polish and symmetry - very good and above

note - with crown and pavilion angles at the shallower ends ( CA 34- PA 40.6) and steeper ( CA 35- PA 41) check to make sure these angles complement in that particular diamond - eyeballs, Idealscope, trusted vendor input - check as appropriate!

I think this is cut a bit deep and prob would pass but do prefer it to the SI-2

I know you mentioned blue nile but again I have have a hard time searching on that site bz of lack of photos.
Good luck w/ your quest!
