Looking to purchase a round diamond to fit a Niessing tension setting. Would ideally like something 0.6-0.7ct, near to ideal cut, D-G, VS2-1. Have checked prices on BN, but could use your help in sourcing the best diamond at the best value. What other online sellers should I be checking for value, great diamonds, and honesty? Would like to stay around $2200 if possible. If anyone has specific diamonds in mind, please post. Thanks!!!

Consider
$2253 with PS discount

Regardless of where you get the stone, make sure that you let the vendor know if it is for a tension setting so you can be sure the girdle is adequate to support it.
Good luck!

^^ That''s a dandy.

That is *very* nice! Thanks. The HCA score (if I''m doing this right) comes to 1.7 (ex, vg, vg, vg). Does this seem both correct and "acceptable" given the cost and other measurable factors? Any reasons *not* to get this stone?

Other candidates?

Thanks for your help!

Oh, and how would I go about getting the ps discount?

Rainer, you don''t even need the HCA now. You have everything of importance on that stone.

I can''t think of any reason not to get it, it''s stunning. And they don''t really come cut better than that, no need to look further.

Please though, if you''re serious about it, call and reserve it while you think, so it doesn''t get snatched up. GOG is great to work with.

It''s reserved (by me!) for the next few weeks. It *does* look like what I want. Any other thoughts? You''ve all been very, very helpful!

I "think" you will be over the moon with that stone. I own one cut by the same company (bought from GOG as well), and they truly cut a very tight, very gorgeous product. Really, you are gonna love it!

And you must come back and post pics if you can, we love to see the finished product.

HI:

Are you able to buy a Niessing tension setting (or any brand tension setting) alone? Do those companies who sell those brands allow customers to source their own stones?

cheers--Sharon

Niessing allows you to bring in your own diamond. I don''t know about the other jewelers.
