Los Angeles-based jeweler Single Stone is known for their vintage-inspired bridal collection set with stunning old-cut diamonds. The Cobblestone collection is one that really captures our attention, as it refreshes the "cluster" concept with a nod to Victorian jewels.

We are especially loving the newer vine or climbing earrings that reach up and around the ear--as more coverage equals more sparkle and shine to light up your face! The climbers look great on a single ear, while the other ear is bare or adorned with a stud...

Modern Gold – Bridal at Couture 2014: Q&A with Rebecca Overmann

Wed, 25 Jun 2014
By Erika Winters

The Couture jewelry show, which we attended earlier this month at the Wynn in Las Vegas, presents a wild array of stunning contemporary jewels from designers across the globe. There is simply so much to see that it's easy to miss designers who are tucked away in the jeweled pockets that comprise the showroom floor. But we absolutely could not miss the Contemporary Jewelry Design Group's booth at Salon 137 (dubbed "Studio 54" by its lively inhabitants--a stellar group of jewelry designers who have way too much fun at the show!) to see a designer we've long admired, Rebecca Overmann.

By Erika Winters

When I attend jewelry market week to cover the shows for our blog, my focus is on the latest in design, trends, and the incredible jewels at shows like JCK and Couture. (We will be sharing our designer coverage throughout the next month, so stay tuned for more!) And while the glittering array has us seeing stars, it's the people who work tirelessly to support and promote this industry who are the true jewels. And one of these people has stunned us with a hilarious and heartfelt blog series on the Vegas shows--our colleague, friend, and jewelry industry veteran, Barbara Palumbo.

There is something about Syna Jewels... When we walked into Syna's booth at Couture 2014, we were not only struck by their elegant collections, but we instantly felt peaceful and calm--amidst the hustle and bustle of the dazzling Couture jewelry show. And we can thank designers Dharmesh and Namrata Kothari for this peaceful feeling, as their energy is conveyed through their exquisite jewels.

What’s the Buzz? Gumuchian’s New “B” Collection Stunned at JCK 2014

Mon, 09 Jun 2014
By Erika Winters

When a jewelry collection is designed for a worthy cause, we take notice, as we appreciate designers raising awareness and giving back to their communities. Gumuchian's new "B" collection--launched at JCK 2014--is both beautiful and important, as a portion of proceeds from sales will be donated to HoneyLove.org, a non-profit organization that supports urban beekeeping.
