Natural Diamond Prices – November 2021

As the world prepares to recover from the COVID-19 global pandemic so has the diamond industry. We have seen a positive increase in the average price of natural diamonds over the past couple of months. We have also seen a shift in the Top 5 Popular Diamond Shapes as many traditional shapes that were trending pre-COVID have since become less popular. Let’s take a closer look at the Top 5 Popular Diamond Shapes and state of natural diamond prices for November 2021:

Round diamonds continue to be the most popular shape of diamond on the market making up 77.97%. Princess has not made the Top 5 Popular Diamond Shapes for three months in a row despite traditionally being the second most popular shape of diamond pre-COVID. Oval continues to sit in second place making up 5.61% (popularity) – could this be caused by the increase in celebrity oval engagement rings? Cushion remains in third place. Pear continues to make the Top 5 Popular Diamond Shapes two months in a row since making a comeback from May this year.
