Coming from the latin for “Seawater,” Aquamarine was said to protect sailors and calm the waters for their jouneys. It was claimed that aquamarine would help keep marriages happier. The best of these gems combine high clarity with limpid transparency and blue to slightly greenish blue hues, much like this one!
I keep accidentally typing “aquamaring” and it makes me giggle every time, because that also seems appropriate for this piece of beauty!
