zircon setting question.........???

Are some setting styles better suited to zircon's double refraction than other? In other words....does light coming in from the sides affect the zircon's performance in a setting? likewise, if you have a full bezel that restricts light to the top......does that have an effect? What setting enhances dispersion the best? Thanks.............

I think it depends on the color, tone and cutting. I just set my zircon in a four prong setting, and the diamond cutting makes for some nice light play. I'm not a fan of bezels since they aren't always done well and can damage more brittle stones.

Thanks TL........your ring is absolutely gorgeous! Your comments make sense to me. My zircon is a subtle yellow so it probably could be bezeled, but just thinking about it I'm finding myself going away from that choice...... I don't want to screw up the dispersion/zircon 'look' when I set it!
