This was requested in another thread. Here are four stones I''m considering in the near future. I can easily afford the first one and the last one would probably be pushing it. The last number in the link is the price of the stone. I am going to put this in the WF platinum Tiffany knife-edge with six prongs ($925). As a neophyte, these stones all appear to be very comparable to me as far as quality, and it''s just a question of how big I want to go and how much I want to spend.

.99 for sure. I would say it''s a carat and I would say 1.07 is a carat, but one''s 1000 less.
It''s still a 1 carat diamond ring in my book.

That .99 looks gorgeous. 1.1 on the HCA...I''d say this is the winner. .08cts isn''t worth the extra $1k!

I'd vote for either of the ACA's, I find their idealscope pics very appealing. Comparing between the .99 and the 1.07 I'd go for the 1.07 just because I like it a bit better.
However If this was going to be my e-ring (and even if my bf told me he had a 8k budget), I'd choose the .811 carat and ask for maybe a mark morrell heart-shape prong tiffany ring. Talk about making your heart go pitty-pat! But the white flash knife-edge tiffany is also very beautiful.

But I'm not like many of the ladies here on PS, as I'd prefer a diamond under a carat.

I'd worry too much about a larger stone and not wear it as much.

Oh, goodness, these are all nice stones! It's usually easier to narrow them down than this!

I think the .99 is probably my choice. I love the 1.06, but it really is hard to justify the extra $1000. unless one really wants an ACA.

Oh, and I love the tiffany knife edge setting! Please post pictures when you get them!

These really are all nice stones, with the big difference begin the size and cost. I agree with the rest -- I like the .99, for $1300 less. It''s rare to find well cut stones just under the 1ct mark. I''d call Whiteflash, if you haven''t already and have them pull it and talk you through it just to get a better feel for it.

As the owner of a .97 ACA, I suggest the .99. You can take the extra money and put it towards a wedding band. Just so you know, mine is set in the fine line by le (or whatever it''s called) setting and I''m very happy with it. It''s classic, but different from the classic Tiffany-style that everyone else has.

What about this one?

Just call them to make sure it''s eye-clean....
