Your thoughts on these two stones

What is your opinion on the following two stones:

I know that there is a dramatic difference in the size, but I think the 1.7 is plenty big. My husband disagrees. I am going to be putting them in an eternity ring style setting that is only .5 carat on each ring. While we can afford the more expensive stone, I think that I will be able to stomach spending this much on myself much more easily if I get the smaller one. And I think that it as good, if not better performer, than the larger stone. And is just me or do you notice the leakage in the middle of the larger stone?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO??? HELP ONE AND ALL!!!

Both beautiful, check the SI clarity diamond is eyeclean to your standards.

They are both really nice diamonds. You couldn't go wrong with either one. The leakage I think you are speaking of is not hurting the optics. Some leakage is ok.

You have to go with what you feel comfortable spending, we can't decide that for you. But as I said in your other thread, the 2.08 is not really "that" big. It may sound big, but it's diameter is going to look like about a 1.25 round. Which is a lovely size, but not what most of us would call huge.
