Could you please do me a favor and give me your thoughts on this 2ct H VVS2 radiant at James Allen. I actually met with their gemologist and saw the stone in person. It was pretty and it seemed a good balance of cut, proportions, and better yet, was a little under my budget. It has a medium blue floresence which I've been told makes the diamond look whiter. I''m not crazy about the floresence, but after doing some reading on this forum, I'm no longer afraid of it.

And by the way, the stone is no longer available because I already bought it and am having it set in a platinum setting with trillium sidestones. I know I should have asked your opinions before, but oh well. The diamond was $17,950 and the link is below. If you could please share some opinions on the stone, it would be greatly appreciated. If I get a bad vibe, I have no problem taking advantage of the return policy when it arrives and getting a different diamond. Thanks in advance.

Since you have already seen the diamond in person and also got the advice from their gemologist, I'd say keep the diamond if you really like it. Specifications of this diamond looks good but remember there are pros and cons to a thick to very thick girdle. One good thing is you don't have to worry about chip the same way as with a thin girdle, but the really bad thing is your stone won't show its weight because so much will be in the girdle. Diamond with a very thick girdle is hiding extra weight around the middle which doesn't do anything for the appearance of the stone. You end up paying for the weight but you can't see it.

Thanks for pointing that out! It seemed that most of their ideal cut radiants had thicker girdles. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Anybody else? I don't think this is watery crushed ice, but I'm just not sure.

It looks nicely cut from the top view! I really don't know radiant measurements as well as rounds, so I don't know how much smaller it is facing up than it could with a medium girdle. Did you mean trapezoid side stones? Because I think those look far better than triangles with a radiant. Here's a picture of a ring that belongs to a PS member:
