Thanks to everyone on this forum for pointing me in the direction of Brian Gavin for my custom designed engagement ring last year.

My fiancé loved it so much that she has given me full responsibility for choosing her wedding band, and surprising her on our wedding day in July.
I would really love to do another unique design that differs from the engagement ring but am concerned that it might clash. I know she loves the look of a criss cross ring and that is where i'm focusing most of my effort.

one thought is a custom ring, similar to this but all diamonds:

another is buying this tiffany harmony bead set diamond ring:

Here is a picture of the tiffany ring next to my ring:

The tiffany ring has a totally different setting style, but i love how the reverse taper matches the engagement ring well, and its reasonably priced considering its comes in the "blue box".

looking forward to everyones advice!

What I like about the 2nd one is that it will allow a flush fit. If they can make that work with a matching stone setting style (prong set vs the bead set) I think it would be awesome. It would complement, but not be matchy matchy.

I think you have excellent taste, and either of those options would look good with the e-ring! I kind of prefer the first one, done in all diamonds, because of its uniqueness.

I don't think the first one would go with the e-ring at all. I don't like combining micropave in skinny metal bands with larger stones in the band of the e-ring. I think is a mistake for her not to try on wedding bands with the e-ring, because that is an engagement ring that NEEDS to be tried on with different wedding bands to see what looks right. I do not like the second ring with it because those stones are set differently than the e-ring stones. The ideal to me is to have BG make a band with stones set the same way as the stones in the e-ring shank, probably the size of the smallest stones. Something similar to this:

(whichever one best matches your e-ring)

I agree with DS. This is the first one that came to mind for me...

You can always call Brian Gavin since he made the ring and see what he suggests. A plain platinum band is always a classic option too.

Do you think she would be ok with a plain, high shine band? She could wear it any time she didn't feel like diamonds, it would be a beautiful combo that would let the engagement ring shine, and you would have a built in spacer for anniversary ring later. :)

Looks like we think alike

How about the infinity twist micropave wedding band I found at bluenile? Not sure if it will sit flush against that beautiful engagement ring though  But I think it would look nice and a bit unique at the same time. I think you may have to go wedding ring shopping together though, if only to see what would look "right" with that ring. Best of luck in finding the right ring! :wavey:
