I like the whit gold, but I am a white gold kinda person. I think your sapphires will look awesome in that setting. I can''t wait to see pictures of the finished product.
Despite the overwhelming vote for white gold, I ended up going with yellow gold. I really liked the look of yellow gold, plus if I decided I didn''t like it after seeing it in person it would be easier to rhodium plate it than change white gold to yellow gold.
Well I zipped over to FedEx at lunch to get my ring. It's absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad I went with the yellow gold; it brings out a bit of violet in the sapphires.
Under fluorescent lights I can find the stone that shifted to violet but other that than I can't really see a huge variance in color. Under sunlight I couldn't really see a difference between them at all. I'm afraid you're going to have to wait for pictures because, though my cell phone has a camera, I have no clue how to get pictures off the phone and onto the computer.
ETA: They certainly packed the ring well too. It was in a ring box, in a cardboard box wrapped in tissue paper, in a padded envelope, in a small fedex box, in a medium fedex box.
