YIKES - anyone get unexpected bad setting, what do you think

I have been a silent observer BUT completely trust all of you PS'rs out there!!! I just got a photo and I am soooo sad. It is not what I expected. I am trying to load a picture but in the interim if anyone else can relate, I would be so in debt!

It's a photo of the actual ring or a CAD?

to upload your picture click on the icon that looks like a diamond under insert.

have you told Leon you are unhappy with the ring?

Are you going to a reply window, then looking down at the bottom blue part and clicking "upload attachment"? Then click on "choose file" and the picture section of your computer should open up. Then click on the picture, then "add the file".

I am anxious to see too. I have nothing to say that will make you feel better

The several times I disliked the photo .. I ended up hating the real thing.

Try This ..
1. Go to the last tab in the navigation -> My Pages > Image Control Panel
2. Click Upload Image on the Image Control Panel page
3. Upload your image
4. When you reply to the message ... click on the diamond and select your photo.

If that doesn't work, just right click on your image and go to properties and copy the URL. Paste the URL here.

I know we havent seen the pics of your ring yet but most reputed vendors want you to be satisfied with your ring so I would suggest contacting your vendor about your concerns. I am sure they will try their best to make you happy.

I wouldn't call mine a bad setting. Just was "over" the back and forth on working on the custom route and gave in. The owner swore I would just love it. I did (trust her) and I don't like it much. It is gorgeous, but not me, not comfortable and not "custom."
I would stick to your gut and give them the opportunity to make it right. I SO feel ya on this one.

Thank you so much. I feel comforted by all of the words of encouragement to trust my gut. I am determined to get the photos up to show you. I keep following all of the suggestions but after I get to the last step, it says file not found!!!!!! After I clucked to load it etc.

try resizing your file just a tad and also rename it.

then when you go to reply... there is an "upload attachment" tab bottom left

1.click on upload attachment
2.pick your file
3. open
4. add the file then you should be able to preview it before you actually submit. This last few months I am unable to directly upload my photos for whatever reason and this is the only way I know how now, afterwards I can then go into the "diamond" icon to upload the pictures directly after attaching it the first go round.

What format is the image? Is it a jpeg?

Just wanted to add my two cents....don't forget to rename it, something really unique with numbers and letters or something. That has been a problem for me in the past!

I'm not thrilled with my setting either, the jeweler had the final task of picking a head to mount the stone in and they did a terrible job. We'll upgrade/change the setting in a few years.

I'm not happy with my setting either.

I sent inspiration pics and all was find till I go the CAD. The prongs were chunkier and the shank squarer than I wanted. I gave this feedback but was told to trust them and that the CAD always made things look this way. Fast forward to the photos that were better than the CAD but still not quite what I wanted, but I couldn't get them to see the difference between my ring and my inspiration photo so I gave up and OKed it. Then it arrived and I was so disappointed, I had the issues I just mentioned but what I didn't expect was the head is not straight, the band is super thin (height off finger) less than 1mm so it looks really flimsy and like something out a Christmas cracker, and the bottom of the basket is completely unfinished like they forgot to make it a square or a circle (which you could see from the photos). They have offered to alter it but we are on different continents now and I don't trust posting it.
