Hello all, been lurking for a few months, and starting to do some serious looking now.

I'm looking to stay in the 3500-5000 range for a round diamond. I've been restricting myself to diamonds in the H-J colour range, top end cuts (based solely on their "cut" ranking, not necessarily the crown/culet/etc numbers), and between 0.85-1.1 carats.

I found this one just now that I think fits the bill. I don't know why it's SI1 because I can't see anything, but maybe I'm missing something?

Any other suggestions in the price range or any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
Also, if I were to pay in cash and with a PS discount, what sort of discount can you expect? Thanks!

So, did you want a J over 1 ct?

You can ask your customer service rep for the Pricescope wire price.

That stone is a good one, but I do not think it would make it into WF ACA, GOG Signature, or BG Signature because of the leakage in the center. I'd have to see if there are others that are better.

Did you see this one? Looks better in the center:

I'm not really sure what I should be prioritizing. Her fingers are pretty small, so I don't want to get something that is disproportionately large. It's also going to be mounted in platinum or at least white gold, so I want to minimize any noticeable colour differential.

Definitely open to suggestions though.

There is no disproportionately large unless she is getting cramps from the weight (true story.)

If she is ok with a J, rationally you should get a J no matter if it is .8 cts or 1 ct, just for the savings.

^DS gave you an excellent suggestion.... and I just realized you are listing the same one she suggested. See? Better already. The one you two found... I agree, what's going on in the middle under the table is more consistent in terms of brightness with the star facets, bezel, etc so it looks way brighter. The other stone you initially chose you can tell there's a subtle amount of funny business going on under the table...but it scores well with the HCA, so you may want to get an IS image of it to see what's up!

Pure luck, I promise you. :)

With a stone that has an inclusion on the side like that, is it possible to request that when it is set, they use a claw to cover the blemish?

^Sure, they can always try to prong it the best they can.

Looks like the first one you listed from GOG is sold? Did you buy that one?

It is being held for me.
