yellow spot??? :(

I just got engaged last friday and my ring looked PERFECT, I have a 1.5 princess cut with two small stone on the side and the ring has channeling. the little diamond on the chaneling has a yellowish spot on the corner, but it wasn''t there a few days ago. does anyone have any idea of what this could be???? I am going to take it to my jeweler but I wasn''t able to today.

Have you cleaned the ring recently? If it really wasn''t there a few days ago, I bet it''s something that got under/on the diamond. It''s probably nothing, I wouldn''t worry yet.

I''m certainly no expert, but I had the same experience with some melee on my band. Perhaps there is some polishing compound trapped behind the stone and it is reacting with whatever type of cleaner you''re using. Hopefully someone more knowledeable will chime in, but that''s my best guess.

Do you have any pictures BTW? That might help with rendering an opinion of what''s going on.

Sounds like polishing compound, take it back to the jeweller as apparently strong chemicals might be needed to get it off.
