I''m interested in knowing how many people have reset their erings / bands from yellow gold to platinum. My e ring is a three stone (1.5 ctr, .6 each side) w/ a platinum trellis head, and yellow gold shank. My band is a channel set 1 ct tw (10, 10 pointers) yellow gold. At the time, I was wearing mainly yellow, and thought the plat head on the yellow band would allow me to wear either yellow or white.
Over the last couple of years, I''ve gotten a couple of significant new pieces that I enjoy wearing, all which are platinum. (2 ct rb micro-pave halo as well as a 3.5 ct cluster heirloom piece, and a couple other baubles). Anyhoo, I find that I am enjoying the yellow alot less, and have decided to have the ering re-shanked to platinum, as well as the 1/2 eternity reset in platinum.
I''m hoping that 5 years from now I don''t change my mind, and wish I had kept the yellow shank w/ plat. head, but it seems to me that platinum is timeless and will always be a good choice. For some reason, I yellow seems "casual" to me, while plat or white seems more elegant. Any thoughts? Has anyone else found themselves a "convert" and if so, were / are you happy with your choice? Thanks!
