can you tell me more about the oval sapphire that you have prong set in your avatar? I absolutely love the color.

Hi pregcurious, thank you! The sapphire is from Gemfix, it is 2 carats, 7.7x6.4mm. Heated, but left with a good amount of silk, so that it doesn't really sparkle, but has a lovely glow. (I actually think the avatar picture makes it look a little dull...) Here's the thread that I had when I was trying to find a setting. The setting was done by Adzia, on etsy.

You'll probably know from various threads that Gemfix has had mixed results with their photography and the in-person color of their stones -- I believe that feedback here was why they started providing handshots. In my case, the photo was almost exact (allowing for the variations in different lighting, as you'll see in my photos in the setting thread.)

It is my favorite ring, still. I wear a lot of stackers, but on days I only want to wear one ring (other than ER/band), that's the one I wear.
