This is a consumer forum, we don't do statistics on sales in order to provide you with information on recent sales of comparable stones. You'll have to ask at one of the trade-oriented places for that.

As a consumer, I would tell you that I would not be interested in this stone even if someone was trying to give it to me for free.

I saw the LT listing and my immediate thought was that it's one big fat scam.

For the record, people are aware that vendors will sometimes pretend to be buyers in order to gather information from other consumers to help with their sale. With a brand new account it's a sneaking suspicion. If you are the vendor trying to sell this gem - shame on you!

Have you posted the wrong pictures? That looks like a super dark tsav or one of those dark green tourmalines (the name escapes me) or green glass.

So, mere minutes after I write my post the guy deletes everything and runs off? So my guess was right?

I should've quoted the post. I'll know better next time.

But I'm not gonna let this go so easily.

The stone that the user was asking about "buying" is currently listed on LT and on GemRockAuctions by vendor gemnifique.

The stone was officially listed for 10k:



And then 10 days later posted again with a reduced price because obviously it's such a great bargain that it's not gonna last long:
