My dh is awkward about opening doors. He definitely holds doors open for other people regardless of age, gender, etc., so I wouldn''t think he was "honoring" or interested in a woman he held the door open for. But when it comes to the two of us entering, he gets really confused as to what he is supposed to do, I think because a lot of times he is leading the way and I don''t know where I"m going (in the hospital where he works), or he''ll try to hold the door for me, but then expects me to go under his arm, so I would really let it go. I''ve tried to work with him on it, but he just doesn''t get it.
