Wow, Pinctada Maximus!

Today I was helping an elderly friend get ready for his estate sale.
He said to look around and if I saw anything I liked, that I could have it.
Hello.....Pinctada Maximus! It was among some geodes and other rocks that belonged to his deceased wife.
I couldn't resist taking a fun photo with some of my Tahitian
and SS pearls in it!

I see a few little bumps around the muscle attachment - likely little pearls embedded in nacre.

Hah, it is not exactly little! It is 9 inches across at it's widest point.
It makes all my pearls look teeny!
