Would you say I can replace this red stone with my own 6mm center stone?

This mount is decently priced, in 18k gold. I am considering getting it for my 6mm sapphire. You think a jeweler can replace the stone?

Also, this red stone tested as ruby, but not confirmed if natural or not. I am buying mostly for the mount tho

Should be easy peasy to remove those little dab prongs and set a new stone.

It looks like those prongs were already replaced once.
There was probably a diamond in there originally.
