Mine is the one on top. Mine is platinum and VS and I or better. . I’m considering selling mine to fund this. But. The bottom one has 2 stones with tiny chips. 14k gold. Would you do it?

Do you have any photos?

I like the bottom one better. Are the chips noticeable or will they bother you?

I prefer the look of the new one with less metal showing

My vote is for the new band!

Nope, I wouldn’t, because I’d rather have the platinum metal over the 14k.

I LOVE THE NEW BAND! So pretty! But only you know if the chips will bother you.

I would buy what makes me happy because that is the purpose of jewelry- to make you feel happy when wearing it. My only concern for you would be any regret you may feel later due to your original ring having higher quality metal and diamonds. With that said, the bottom ring IMHO is prettier.

I prefer the new band but do not love that it has 2 chips and is 14K gold. Is holding out for a band that is platinum with no chips but identical in all other ways to the bottom band an option? That's what I would do. Don't settle. Unless you really are not bothered by the chips or the 14K gold vs platinum issue. I love plat for my rings but my body chemistry turns white gold yellow fast.

I voted for the new band because in principle I prefer it over your current band but would hold out for one that is perfect for you. Which might be this one if the chips and 14K doesn't bother you...such an individual preference of course with no real right or wrong. Which makes your heart sing @nala ?

I like the new one -less metal showing -unless it’s super cheap I would not get it due to chips. I also prefer emerald eternity bands on WG or plat. But that’s personal preference.
Give yours a good cleaning. You may fall in love again.
