I asked way too many questions in my other thread, I will take it easy now. I am on night shift and antsy about this ordeal.

So here's one simple one. This band:

Is that setting I posted going to be resizeable 0.5 to 1 size if I don't get it perfect? I obviously very much prefer to go with the real setting. I have read a lot about pave settings, but then read other posts on PriceScope where once in a while someone will say a band like this (not all the way around) shouldn't be an issue.

My girlfriend's coworker is going to try to get her ring size for me by bringing in a Blue Nile sizer to work and pretending like she is looking at wedding bands (she's getting married in a year). With me on night shift, I have no other way to do it such as by going to a mall, and the only ring she wears is not on her ring finger and she says it's too big anyway (it's a 6 per the printable james allen sheet).

I will ask the jeweler about it as well if I get a chance to get to him! (GOG)

Thank you!

The friend idea is a good one. It is best not to size rings with diamonds on the shank because it can loosen them. In fact, that happened to my original wedding band when I was sizing it up just a half size.

One other note. I would get a straight wedding band to wear with that ring and not the curved one.

0.5 size might be doable but I'm leery of loosening the melees if more than that.

If you end up with it .5 too big, you can add sizing beads.
