Yup. But, you have to know what you are looking at and for, and know the values of things without access to time and the internet.

Buy what? Loose diamonds? I don't see much benefit to it. The downside is time pressure, bad lighting, usually bad terms and conditions, usually working with a stranger, limited inventory. What's the upside? Immediate delivery?

Not to mention overheated air and too much noise and too many people! The DC show is agony. But, I like to see my grandmother's old friends and they sometimes bring me something special to fall in love with...
