Would this ring really be vintage/antique?

Found the above in browsing e-bay. I'm wondering if that is truly a vintage setting as the shank appears to have no wear and back then, I believe they made much thinner shanks. Seller mentions having it retipped but was that due to age/wear or just not having adequate prongs in the first place?

Hmm, I see what you're saying...but the head of the ring does look vintage to me, those prongs are pretty worn down and the bezel is flattened in spots. I'm wondering if the ring was re-shanked at some point. I know the seller didn't mention it, but maybe it was done previously and the seller wasn't aware of it. That would be my guess anyway.

It does look vintage. But of course some rings are new and made to look vintage etc. But it looks like it has sold.
