I have wanted this Tiffany ring forever, money is a little tight to buy it new so I have been on the hunt for a used one and I have finally found one and I am tempted to buy it...but it is a tad small, I currently wear a size 7.5, the band is currently a size 7...do you think it could be sized up 1/2 size? I can wear a size 7 but it would be a little snug sometimes....thank you to anyone who may know.

This is a question for Tiffany, I would have them size it and no other jeweler.

I used to own the yellow gold and platinum version of this ring. It is a gorgeous band. I wear a 7 to 7.5 on my left hand and needed a size 8 in this ring. But I have large knuckles, so that may have been the issue. I do not believe sizing would be a good (or cheap) option for this ring. If the seller has a good return policy, you could give the smaller size a try. Otherwise I'd pass.

Like many other multi-metal rings, sizing can be complex. It can be sized larger, but likely the sizing section inserted will show seams and not be perfectly integral to the smooth surfaces it joins to. It may be a little wavy, might have a porosity ding or two, or may be a bit off shape in some small way. Folks with sharp vision who feel that any imperfection ruins something would be put off yet many people would celebrate the sizing as a success if the ring fits well and looks rather good. How picky and detailed the customer is will dictate the success possible. In general, I'd advise people not to spend the money to do it, but it is a personality issue that can't be predicted. Hopefully, you know if a bit of the repair still showing would ruin it or make you just as happy. Whatever a normal sizing cost, figure 2 to 3 times as much to do the job.

ok this helped me tremendously...sounds like it might not be worth it...oldrminer the repair job looking different would bug me...thank you all so much for your response :)

FYI, this ring is available in size 8 on truefacet.com for $810. Not sure if that fits your budget but figured I would let
You know

I have the same Tiffany ring in platinum and love it. I had to go up a half size though from 6.5 to 7 in order for it to fit comfortably. At my regular size it was too snug.

thanks Tophat1 I will go check it out and kmarla thanks for that info that means the size 7 will not fit..sigh....

Lots of shops have a tool colloquially known as a ‘ringbuster’. It’s a stretcher, and it’s made for just this sort of job. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it doesn’t always work. Failure is catastrophic. I would guess a 95% chance of success with a 5% chance of irreversible failure. Under the right circumstances, like a seller who bought it cheap and stands to make a big sale, this is reasonable. I’m not sure I would do it as a buyer unless the initial cost is very low.

thanks denverappraiser...you all have been so helpful, you have kept me from making a decision I think I might have regretted..I guess I will hold out for a bigger size...or just buy it straight from Tiffany, that actually sounds like the best thing to do, this is why I am part of this community so much helpful information!

It might just be me but I've found that Tiffany rings run a little small. Not quite sure how that is possible but a US6 is a perfect fit for my right hand and a tiny bit loose for my left but allows for stacking and then is perfect.

I recently tried on some rings at Tiffany and had to go to a 6.5 for a comfortable fit.

Weird.

So the point I'm making (badly) is that the band you are looking at might need more than a half size tweak.

It might just be me but I've found that Tiffany rings run a little small.

I’ve found the same, and an internet search tells me that is common, especially for bands. I once had the sales lady insist I was lying about my ring size as I tried to jam what should have been my size ring on my finger. I asked if they run small and she said they are as standard sized as it gets.
