LOL!! I am glad I was able to relieve any anxieties you may have had!!

I entered the numbers into the HCA and it scored Excellent in all categories with a score of 1.1 - Excellent within TIC range, so no worries about having a fish eye. Here is the cut advisor page if you''ve not visited it before.

It could be table reflection, I don''t think you need to worry.

That is also a possibility, and other viewers also see your ring differently to you, are you really concerned about your diamond? I am sure you have no need to worry.

There is a video in the gallery titled Head Obstruction, take a look and see if that helps.

You are very welcome! I was concerned as I saw you had posted in various places, and forgive me if I am wrong, you seemed a little anxious about your diamond and I wanted to help! Sometimes you may notice things like head obstruction, table reflection etc as diamonds can react differently according to the available light/ obstruction etc - but usually there is no need to worry. It is easy to wonder if this is your first diamond, but with the info given I bet it is gorgeous and you are fine!

Please post some pics sometime as we would love to see it, but if you DO have any more concerns, then don't hesitate to ask!

Just out of interest, a common query we get is from new posters being worried that their well cut diamond looks blackish or dark in strong sunlight, this too is normal, so we do understand how easy it is to question these things.

thank you so much i will definately post pics soon .... when i get my custom setting made i am a little nervous about that one too but soo excited i hate waiting!!!!!!! 2 - 3 weeks left

I see it, I think although I am no expert it could be table reflection. I am positive it isn''t fish eye, the numbers are in a good range, and the diamond looks gorgeous to me!

ok thank you

I am glad to help! Here is some info which might be useful which describes table reflection. It is possible this is what you are noticing. This post was written by expert John Pollard.

sounds like the diamond's table reflection (a natural reflection of the table seen deep in the pavilion). This reflection gets bigger as the pavilion gets deeper; see the arrows pointing to the effect in the simulations below. It’s not viewable in many conditions but may be perceivable when the diamond is illuminated from the side. That could be light from a table lamp, reflected from the walls or coming from the horizon, for instance.

Diamond graders look for this effect in darkfield illumination to judge pavilion depth. The larger the table reflection the deeper the pavilion. Describing it as 'golden' makes sense in a J color, because at 41+ the steeper the pavilion angle the more it entraps any body color present. This is why fancy colored diamonds are often cut with deeper proportions than rounds in the D-Z range. It's nothing to worry about and the most important thing is that the diamond perfoms well and looks beautiful to her.

Glad to help and a pavilion angle of 41 degrees is fine with your crown angle - no worries!

I don't know if setting it higher or lower would help, I would try to accept that wee dot as one of those things and try not to worry about it if you can.
