Would cuprian blue tourmaline fluoresce under uv blacklight?

I have an example that was tested as cuprian by a gemololgist. It has a weak reddish pinkish orange uv fluorescence. Does that prove its not a tourmaline? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this!
