Sure, if I wanted a D, if it was eyeclean, and I knew the cut proportions, a GIA or AGS report and a good vendor! Many here find an SI2 to be a fine clarity for them as it allows them a much larger diamond for the money!Date: 12/11/2007 1:28:56 PM

Great color, not so great clarity, but eye-clean. Around 0.8 carats and $3800, ideal cut, H&A. Decent?
Hehe, sounds about right. It was an option presented to me by one of the nice E-dealers, so I''m mulling it over. Don''t know if it''s better than an H/VS2 or not... or if it''s in the same price range.Date: 12/11/2007 1:32:29 PM

Brilyant - For whatever it matters, I would hands down go with an absolutely spotlessly eye clean SI2 in D color over an H VS2 any day.Date: 12/11/2007 1:34:38 PM

OK, I just placed it on reserve!
Oh boy... I feel butterflies...
Depends on the diameter measurements of both, rather than the carat weight, but generally assuming both diamonds have a great cut, there probably wouldn't be much of a difference - if any.Date: 12/11/2007 2:27:36 PM

I have 24 hours to think this over before either buying this diamond or returning it from my grasp
Will there be a significant difference in visible size between this 0.83 carat and, say a 0.91 carat stone?

Assuming both are ideal cut... Not a visible difference, no. I think you''ve got a winner... and right in budget too!
Which setting are you getting? Legato Micro Pave or Harmony?
So do I !!! That rock will look superb in that...Date: 12/11/2007 2:44:15 PM

Thanks! She like the Legato best, so that''s probably the one I''ll be getting.
I''m pretty damn excited right now...

Yes, we both love the setting - I don''t know if it''s the way it looks online, or the way it''s photographed, but I think it looks amazing. I asked her because I wanted to be sure she liked the setting - she wanted the smaller side stones to complement the main stone, so as to not take anything away from it.Date: 12/11/2007 2:47:10 PM

Oh! You asked her! Smart move! It''s a lovely setting and with that diamond in it it''s going to be amazing!

I have that setting with a .838 F VS stone.
Here is a link to some photos so you can get a better look at what yours might look like if you go with the stone and setting you are considering.
