Hi,

My ring finger is 4.75, and am close to picking the right stone within our budget (thanks to help from this forum) for my e-ring, which we're choosing together. But I'm still ambivalent about whether I like the look of a halo, whether it will look too big with my small finger size (although I know too big a ring is not easily done

). If any of you ladies out there with small ring sizes and stones around 1.5 cts w/ halos would care to post pics or tell me how you feel about the size and overall look on your finger with the halo, that would be helpful.

Thank you in advance!

P.S. I should have mentioned that I meant 1.5 cts round brilliants with halos.

I think it would work, even a substantial halo. A skinny micropave, definitely. One thing about getting a 1.5ct diamond is if you decide you're tired of the halo you still have a decent size diamond for a solitaire. Unfortunately my diamond halo ring is a Moissanite 7.5mm so I can't post it here. But it's a bold halo and I am a sz 4.5 to 5 with broad hands & short fingers. If I wanted my fingers to look as slender as possible I'd get the thinnest knife edge solitaire 6 prong Tiffany style that I could find. But the halo works, too. My mom's hands are also small and she's a sz 5 only due to age and knuckles. She wears a 1.6mm RB in a big round halo with larger pointers. So, I think it works. It's jsust a matter of so you want that much ring or just a minimalist solitaire.

added: I am not married so I keep forgetting about the WB problem. If you have short fingers, wearing one hamo ring might be most comfortable, rather than a wedding set. Some women I know wear a diamond WB on the left and the halo e-ring on the right, because their hands are small and the rings are bold.

Thanks, this photo is very helpful. jancaric''s ring/diamond are beautiful (what a great handshot photo too!), but I think I''m aiming for a more delicate look. So maybe no halo after all. Will look at some more pics to decide. Again, a huge THANK YOU!

ooooh! Thank you, Marian.

BIG, but tastefully so

The halo look still has potential... so many rings, so hard to choose....

good luck with your decision - you''re a lucky woman to have that choice to make! :)
