Would a halo look good with my wedding band?

my husband has talked about upgrading my engagement ring setting. Do you think a halo would look good with my wedding band or would it be too much? I will most definitely wear them together. If I did get a halo, I would get one like this with a roudn halo and a plain band: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-platinum_7813....
What do you all think?

Thank you! :twirl:

My opinion is that your ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Set, is just perfect the way it is! (subtle, or do you get my enthusiasm?? Just checking!)

The braided/woven WB is gorgeous - its delicate yet substantial and is so unique. And your ering diamond... oh... its kinda OK if you like honking perfect stones like that! :lickout:  :lickout: , which I do!

Adding a halo/resetting to your diamond, would have a lot of bling, but then I think your WB would just 'blend in' and not stand out. If it were me, I'd leave it as is --- its perfect IMO.

I think it really is a matter of personal taste. Adding a halo to your engagement ring will make your set very blingy-and there is nothing wrong with that! I personally would love the extra finger coverage and sparkle of the halo and would have no problem wearing a halo with your wedding band.

Another option, what about putting your center diamond in a split shank halo that could be worn alone or on your right hand. Some people will move their e-ring from their left hand to right hand and wear the wedding band alone It is substantial enough that it could hold it's own and be the center of attention on your left hand while the halo e-ring is the star on your right hand. Just an option to consider.

If you're definitely going to wear them together as you said, I think a halo in addition to your lovely, blingly band might be too much. And it may also be challenging to find a halo setting (without going custom) that would fit comfortably with your band. Maybe have your diamond mounted on a band similar to your current wedding band if you want a more blingy look.

If it were me, I would not put a halo with that band.

Well, I am going to be the voice of dissent here. While both pieces are beautiful, I think the wedding band overpowers your solitaire a bit and maybe a blingy e-ring setting would help to balance things out. So a halo setting gets my vote.

I agree with Stargurl. I think a halo would look gorgeous with your band. I might stick to the plain shank on your e-ring and halo the center stone so that you wont have to worry about the pave rubbing.

This!

I don't think a halo would look bad, but I love your set as is!

Hhhmmm, I couldn't get the link to work for me, but I think that I like the idea of a plain shank halo, I agree and think that it would balance your set out.
