I have 7 little 2-point rb diamonds remaining from when we transformed my late MIL''s wedding band to my wedding band (see avatar). I am wondering if it would work to put them in teensy-tiny bezels and then make a DBTY-style bracelet? I love the idea of VERY delicate sparkle on my wrist (I have very small wrists, by the way), but do you think this would be feasible with diamonds this small? Who would you recommend I use for the project? Any estimates for cost if I supply all the diamonds? Thanks in advance!!!

I''d call Brian Gavin Diamonds to see what they think...

I did a pear on a DBTY necklace for my mom with 3 pointers. It''s very pretty, but yeah, very small as well. I think for a dbty, something like 7-10pointers would be a bit better. It will still look very delicate, but have some pop.

When WF did it for me, the price of the stones wasn''t that much of a factor. The price of the chain with the bezels cost way more than stones that size. If I had 7 two pointers lying around, i''d probably use them scattered in a thin band just to add a little something to the ring.

You could make a small cluster of one diamond in the center surrounded by the other six stones and put them into one place in a rope or cable chain bracelet. They are sort of small for real bezels, but could be put into bezel type settings which would make the stones look a little larger in diameter by using more metal than necessary between the stones. Once rhodium plated, they''d look nice and sparkly. A pendant with such a cluster drop might also get some frequent use. Spaced apart, .02ct stones are not really big enough to show well in thin bezels.

I think that diamonds that small would get lost, even though I love the concept! I''d go for 5 or 7 pointers, as suggested above.

Thanks for the suggestions bella, elle, oldminer, and gecko! I was afraid of that. But do you think there is the potential that it could look very sweet and delicate. Like you almost don''t know the diamonds are there, and then you see a hint of sparkle? If I am not going for the "look" of a DBTY, so to speak, but just a delicate little glimmer of sparkle?

Feel free to still comment that you don''t think it will work, but I am clutching to the idea because I think it will be a little bit unique. Any other thoughts?? Is it even feasible to set diamonds that small in a chain bracelet?
