worth re-setting diamond bands?

I have two channel set princess cut diamond bands with milgrain edges that I use to wear all the time alone or with other stackable rings. They used to have beautiful even and thick milgrain edges. I had them sized and TERRIBLE jeweler flattened the milgrain in several places and ruined the edges- and they still are not right size! My friends don''t notice the the ruined milgrain unless I point it out- but I notice it and hardly ever wear them anymore. It also annoys me that since not right size- they turn a lot and diamonds don''t go all the way around. Is it worth buying more stones and having them both re-set in eternity bands and new milgrain edges?

Green, I''m sorry to hear what the jeweler did to your ring.

You could always reset them, or if for whatever reason, you''d like to just fix them, I know of a jeweler who could do it. I recently had a ring fixed by Quest Fine Jewelers, and they had to actually redo all the milligrain (that another jeweler butchered). I''ll post before and after pics, and I can''t say enough what a great job they did, and how nice they were to work with.

Thanks! If you don''t mind me asking- what would they charge just to try to fix my bands and make edges thicker straight milgrain? These are the "identical" bands. The one on the left is REALLY messed up and the one on the right has evidence of what the pronounced milgrain USED to look like in spots on the bottom edge. The next picture I am attaching makes one band actally look wider than the other due to one with a much thinker edge! If I sent them in to be fixed... is it worth having jeweler completely re-set into eternity bands with princess all the way around? Or does this mean if size is still wrong- can never be resized once eternity band?

I wouldn''t want to guess what they would charge you green. They would have to look at it first, but I found their price for my ring reasonable. But then, I was trying to fix an heirloom piece, so I honestly would have paid whatever it took. Whether it would be worth it to you, you would have to decide.

And if you went full eternity, I''m not sure it could be resized.
