First, thank you everyone for so much help. I''m really sold on the value of an outstanding cut for a ring and here is my latest contender. I would again appreciate some opinions.

2.54 Carat, G, VS2, GIA EX-EX-EX.
GIA Comments: Additional Pinpoints not shown

60.8% depth, 57% table, 34.5° crown angle, 40.8° pavilion angle = 1.3 HCA
Light Return Excellent; Fire Excellent; Scintillation Excellent; Spread or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.3 - Excellent

Learning a bit more about obstruction issues, do the ASET "paddles" or the darker features in the photo suggest any potential normal-viewing disappointment? If so, does the Idealscope help or hurt? But any comments will be greatly appreciated, so thanks.

looks good to me.

It looks like an excellent diamond!

Obstruction will not be an issue with this stone--that is an occurance in shallow angled stones (pavillion 40.6 or less with shallow crown, as well). The ASET is just showing green in those areas, not paddles. When you look at the IS, those same areas are lighter red to white, not black as would be the case for a diamond with obstruction issues.
