For the record, I hardly ever drink.
But I do enjoy a laugh.

And this is what I had for breakfast at the winery on Saturday (although I chose to class it up a bit... and refer to it as brunch). Then again, when you START with a glass of cab like this at 11 am you can call it and damn thing you please because no one is going to remember anyway

I couldn't decide between flamingos or koi glasses for the boathouse... so now I have both... And let me just say that after enough of that very good rose I was a true Fish Speaker! (Ksinger, are you out there?!)

BTW, there are neither flamingos nor koi in/around Lake Michigan. Yes, I admit I look a bit of license.

This one's been making the rounds in the "mommy group" I'm a part of on Facebook (I promise I'm not as insufferable as my membership in such a group probably makes me sound )

(This thread reminds me of the best dirty martini I ever had, at a cool bar in LA. They had house-made, blue-cheese-stuffed olives that were to die for. Cheese in a drink sounds funny, but don't knock it 'til you've tried it! )

Hayley, I really enjoy blue cheese-stuffed olives in dirty martinis, too. Recently I had the strangest experience--I requested them, and our server said, in an annoyed tone, "I have to make them by hand, but I'll do it for you."

Uhhhh, I was like no please, don't bother, but she did bring me my dirty mart with the two tiniest green olives with a smidge of blue cheese in each on the crappiest cocktail pick ever. And this was an upscale place! I'm pretty sure I paid $15 for that stupid drink. She was SO grudging about having to stuff a stupid olive, though, it ruined the whole experience for me and I just want to make some at home and gorge myself until I hate them so I never have to experience a stingy stuffed olive server ever again.

We have a winery in the okanagan called church and state wines. These are actual bottles

These are all hysterical!!!! I need to do send my friend in Houston some of this wine. She would love the bottle with the ray of sunshine saying. After the last few weeks in Houston it doesn't even matter what it tastes like as long as it's alcohol. I think at this point she would drink anything.
