Willow Glen Diamonds?

I contacted Willow Glen Diamonds based on some recommendations here. I need to have them mount my loose Round Brilliant diamond that I purchased from Good Old Gold into my Excel Diamond Tiffany 6 Prong Replica. They told me that I could schedule a an appointment for them to mount my ring and I could actually watch them. Apparently another jewelry store in the area started ripping off customers and switching out diamonds. I am very paranoid about this now and I need to know if anyone has had any direct experience with their quality of work and their reputation. They are charging $60 or so for a mounting fee which I think is great. Joe Escobar is charging $125.00 to set the stone and they didn''t mention that I could watch them perform the work.

Just for clarification Willow Glen Diamonds is located in the San Jose Bay Area in California.

Hopefully Mara or someone local can chime in on this issue. I looked today and saw they are diamond certified which is a good thing for sure.

I don''t think you have anything to worry about- these people deal with diamonds all the time- go with your gut feelings and find someone reputable. You can always have your diamond inspected by a certified independent appraiser before and after- I had to send my diamond in to get a custom made setting and that''s what I did and he will look at the diamond after (as part of the appraisal) Just to have some piece of mind.
