Will Whiteflash customize this ring mount a bit??

Do any of you ladies who have perhaps dealt with WF, know if I can get the cathedral style mount but with the buttercup head? Is that considered custom?

I believe that would be custom. But I'm sure they'd do it.

P.S. Don't call that a buttercup head when you talk to WF. Tell them you want the head on the Tiffany knife edge ring. I think that is a little different than J Crows head.

I am not 100% sure but I think that when I was chatting to WF about making my solitaire setting they said they may be able to put a different head on a band etc. But please don''t quote me, it was several months ago so I am not sure, but this does ring a bell. I think I was going to put the same head onto a legato band or something, can''t quite remember.

I won''t say that WF absolutely does b/c I don''t work for them so I don''t want to put them on the spot BUT based on my own experience buying with them...I believe it is very possible. Just talk to your rep.
My e-ring serves as an example. I wanted the WF diamonds for eternity setting but it came with a standard 4 prong head that I wasn''t crazy about. I was madly in love with the legato head that at the time was on their micropave setting (now I believe the legato head comes with a variety of settings)so I asked my rep and was told that it could be done and it wasn''t custom so I did.
This was in March of 2007.
Then this past spring I changed my center stone from a princess to a RB and still wanted the legato head but this time I had the idea to have pave along the entire legato head and I asked my rep again and she said it was possible. Now there was a charge but I found it really reasonable and it took literally no time at all.
And I didn''t have to do an entire custom project so to speak it was semi-custom if you will.
I think you can get them to help you, they are super accommodating.

Hmm..well how can or where can I get the same head that JCrow and Mara have on their ring? MY jeweler is ordering the 6 prong Stuller solstice head for me to see. I thought maybe he could modify it to look like the head in the above thread. I haven''t asked yet, so not sure if he can or not. Then I want a slight cathedral (not a tiffany style shank), I NEED the sides to taper upward toward the diamond, rather than have the diamond plopped onto a band style..make sense? Thankss

beau, jcrows ring was a custom head made after LLL's...mara's ring was the stuller that WF tweaked for her. just wanted to clarify that mara and jcrow do not have the same head.

Thanks mssalvo, maybe Mara will chime in here. if not, does anyone know who the jeweler was that modified her stuller solstice head? I think I may just go that route. J Crow''s head looks pretty similar to my eyes. I''m not that picky..any head that is similar in shape will do for me! lol.

Hi, Beau.....it was us who modified Mara''s head. However, you should know that hers is a peg-head, and you''ve earlier posted that you don''t want the "plopped on the band" look.

I''m sure our staff would be able to tell you if that head can be integrated into a band for you (instead of peg-set). I''d recommend just giving them a call in the morning.

I found this head (a modified solstice head), from a wonderful guy (Michael E-Gemshoppe). I am waiting to hear back from him to see what the cost is to have a similar ring with this lovely head for my diamond. It looks similar to Mara''s 6 prong head (which is what I want). I don''t know who sculpted her solstice head (they did a wonderful job), but I am sure Michael''s work is just as good (trying to find other pics with the modified solstice head)

Sorry, maybe I should clarify that. What I meant, is that I don''t want what looks like a wedding band with a diamond plopped in the middle. I need something with a bit of a taper upward toward that diamond, that looks like a mount, rather than a wedding band. Thanks for your reply, I am awaiting you reply on pricing. Thanks Allison.
